For easier publishing and more convenient reading on your side, I decided to release the result in multiple posts.
In case you missed the first two parts of this comparison, you can find it here (Part I) and here (Part II).
Read on, to see the next picture of my comparison ;)
Automatic ModeThe third picture of my comparison, is shot in automatic mode.
So let's see how it goes with more distance to the subject... shots like this are more difficult for mobile phone cameras, so the difference between the results should be more significant than in the previous macro mode examples.
CroppedI decided to crop out two different sections this time.
The first one is a crop of 360*640 pixel from the centre of the photo, where the focus was.
SummaryI think I did a pretty good job here, framing the exact same scene on all devices.
As always, the 808 PureView (Phase 1) did a perfect job getting the colours and contrast right and as far as those values go, I don't have much critics for the N8 either.
Surprisingly the usually (in my opinion) "too vivid" Windows Phone 8 phones are a little bit pale... the 820 did quite well, but the 920 colours are just wrong.
Same goes for details. The 808 with it's "pure" pixel shows the best result here, followed by the N8 with its advantage of 12 MP native resolution.
The fence, which was the focus point in this example, is sharp and detailed on all photos, but as soon as we move away from the focus point, the detail is gone on the 820...
I'd like to hear your opinion about the sample photos here.
Feedback/critics about my comparison is welcome too of course ;)
